By the end of the week, they vow to pick a spot to test out a free ultra-high-speed broadband network, and the competition is getting fierce up in here!

Metropolises across the nation are pulling out all the stops to get a leg up on their rivals. Seriously, they should have turned this into a reality TV duke-out. Who wouldn’t want to see Butte and Des Moines lip-sync for their lives?

As for Google’s rivals, their advice regarding the broadband stunt is simply: You Better Work!
