Women are Asking to Have Healthy Breasts Removed

This one floored me!

An increasing number of patients are not only asking for removal of the breast with cancer, but for the healthy breast as well.

I remember the 70s when radical mastectomy was the norm and women were fighting the medical establishment to halt the practice.

40 years later, and the roles are reversed, with a growing number of cancer patients pressuring their Doctors to, as one woman put it, “Just take them.”.

Many Physicians are worried that fear is leading women toward panic before knowing all the facts, but in the end conclude that they support a Woman’s right to choose what she does with her body.
