Reality TV: Best New Place For Male Skaters to Trade-Up to New Wife

Seems like only yesterday when one of figure skating’s aging bad boys, Lloyd Eisler unceremoniously dumped his pregnant wife for his reality TV show “Skating with Celebrities” co-star and former vampire slayer, Kristy Swanson.

Well, it seems like it’s that time of year again, as aging Olympic Gold Medalist and star of British TV reality show “Dancing on Ice”, Christopher Dean dumps his wife of 16 years for a judge on the show.

1990 World Champion, and 3 time US Champion figure skater Jill Trenary, Dean’s second spouse and mother of his two sons, will have to pack up her gold medals and go, to make way for a third Mrs Dean.

It seems the real passion (and sleaze) happens off ice, and off camera, whenever reality TV and skating hook up.

ABC, the idiots who just robbed much of the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area of The Oscars broadcast, are working on another go at the show, this time potentially and unimaginatively named “Skating with the Stars”.

The cast has yet to be named, but philandering middle-aged husbands with their own pair of skates should heed the casting call if they want to get some layback time with scantily clad female celebs willing to learn new tricks.

I nominate Sasha Zhulin and Nikolai Morozov.

As for cheating Chris, this move doesn’t garner a 6.0 at my judge’s table. Just the image of him bustin a move while “Bolero” plays on the 8-tack in the background, makes me want to run for the brain bleach.
