New Cold War for Russian to US Adoptions

It’s a little more complicated than the Chinese drywall debacle.

Russia is outraged by the US’s failure to prosecute abusive parents of Russian adoptees and threatens to suspend all future adoptions.

The recent case of a desperate housewife sending her kid back alone on a plane like he was a sweater that didn’t fit right returned via Fed-ex has brought the simmering argument to a full boil.

But the on other side of the coin are all of the allegations by adoptive parents that full disclosure was not reached and they had no idea they were taking on problem children until it was too late.

Now that lines have been drawn in the sand, let’s hope some real reform comes of this…  from both sides.
