stop and reflect: winding down 2009

yp takes a moment to stop and reflect on the events that have helped shape 2009 for him: starting a new business, getting married to his partner of 9 1/2 years, and feeling good about the success of the pop!world family — pop!talk, pop!vlog, and pop!kultuur.

viewers are all invited to share a video response about the 3 things that helped shape their 2009. featured videos will be broadcasted on all our 3 YouTube channels and our blog, poptalkers.com.

Michael Jackson + Death via Twitter — now on TV!

Amazing news: “Michael Jackson + Death via Twitter” has been selected as our latest video to be broadcasted on TV! it’s the 6th of our wildly popular YouTube videos to appear on i2TV (Internet to TV)!

this year, pop!vlog has really progressed a lot. not only was the channel made a YouTube Partner but it has managed to get over 200 subscribers with less than half the number of videos produced compared to our other sister channel pop!kultuur.

although the number of pop!vlog subscribers pale in comparison to pop!talk’s figure (now close to 3,800 subscribers!), the channel has been growing at a steady pace since some of the videos have been broadcasted on TV — tx to people who may have discovered it on TV!

other pop!talkers videos that have appeared on TV include: Desi Minchillo: Speak My Language, “Too Beautiful to Be Hated”, Susan Boyle: “U Know Who U Are!”, “cliffwalk: get out of my land!”, and tarzan was here: world’s first kayak vlog — all previously featured in select markets in California, Pennsylvania and Missouri.

we invite you to check out the complete schedule for “Michael Jackson + Death via Twitter” after the jump. Continue reading →

Go Desi! You’re on TV too!

we’re very chuffed to announce that Desi Minchillo: Speak My Language has been picked up for broadcast by i2TV (Internet to TV) — again!

you see: we get so much fan mail (or junk mail, depending on how you read it) that the video’s initial broadcast announcement on august 18th was lost in our inbox, which sucks since we count Desi as one of our closest and most talented friends on the planet. sorry!

Desi Minchillo: Speak My Language is the 5th of our wildly popular YouTube videos — “Too Beautiful to Be Hated”, Susan Boyle: “U Know Who U Are!”, “cliffwalk: get out of my land!”, and tarzan was here: world’s first kayak vlog were the others — currently featured for broadcast in select markets in California, Pennsylvania and Missouri.

we hope to extend our reach to some of the other 47 states in America in the future. until then, we encourage you to head on over to Desi Minchillo’s website and check out the complete schedule for Desi Minchillo: Speak My Language after the jump. Continue reading →
